Day 1: Aye

2:30 pm, I reset the trip odometer and leave Sparta for the meeting place. Arrived at 3:15, almost all have arrived and are ready to roll. 3:30 we pull out and head for the open road. We look the cruise control at 75 and make it 137 miles before Big John runs low on fuel and we stop. Next stop is the border control and amazingly we all are allowed into Canada. 75 miles into Canada we stop for fuel for... Go head..guess...cough..cough...
We head out to Brantford ON. Canada and get rooms at the Comfort Inn, low and behold there is an awesome bar next door called Moose Winooski's, obviously we went in for a (few) beers.
Midnight, 320 miles, 4 beers, temps from 59 -80 and max speed of 83.9 mph.

Firework Frenzy Trip

Well here we are, the night before the big trip of 2007. The bike is all packed, gps loaded and mounted so I have a few spare minutes to type this. This morning I signed Diek up to be the camera photographer for the trip since I don't have a camera phone. He will take a picture or two each day and upload them here, and then each night I will try and post about that day. So you ask where are we heading, we are leaving Grand Rapids, Michigan and heading across Canada to New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine before heading back home.
Today we had massive thunderstorms and rain as the cold front push thru, this should be good since it looks like the dew point is going to stay low and the temps will hover in the high 70's low 80's for most of the trip, perfect riding weather. Last weekend we all gathered at the Double D Ranch to check the bikes over good and tighten any loose fasteners, I think we are in great shape bike wise. Really not sure what else to report on except stay tuned for the rest of the adventure.
