After watching the weather reports and removing all the snow and ice from the driveway on Sunday I was really getting itchy for a ride. Tuesday came and so did the warm weather with the sun. I shut down my computer early and ran out of work right at 4:30 to speed home and get on the bike. I knew the neighborhood road would still be bad but knew I could get out to the dry pavement. I pulled in the garage, wheeled the bike out into the sun, started it up and let in run while I quick ran inside to put on my riding gear. Once back outside the bike was warm and ready to go. As I sat on it and made my way to the snowy road I realized I had an audience, most neighbors where out looking awkwardly at me as I road through the snow. Once on the dry pavement I cruised the main roads for about 22 miles. It felt so good, I was smiling from ear-to-ear enjoying every mile of it. It started getting dark and I did not want to push my luck with ice since the temps were dropping fast. I headed back home and to my surprise my lovely wife knew how to make this night even more enjoyable, she had some tunes playing in the garage and a six-pack of beer. We sat out there toasting to spring and warm weather.
Unfortunately our warm weather didn't stick around long, I sure am glad I took advantage of the situation. The extended forecast isn't looking to good so who knows how long till I get out again.
till next time,
Paul

Damn Snow
Well I haven't been keeping up on this very well, I am hoping with the winter weather breaking and the bikes coming out again I will have more to post and get in a habit of posting at least once a week. So your wondering what is new here in Michigan, well not much. I can't really complain we have had a mild winter, well up till January 1st that is, then all hell broke loose and the snow started flying and the temps plummeted. It has been 45 days since I have went for a ride and I am starting to get blue. Today the extended forecast predicts sunshine and temps in the 40's by the end of the week so Betina and I spent three hours chiseling up the 8" of compacted snow in the driveway so I can escape on the bike later this week. I am hoping that the damn plow guy comes around when the weather warms up a bit because the road is in pretty bad shape. You can see how much snow we scrapped up today.
I thought we would never get down to concrete, but we did and now with the sun shining the driveway is totally dry. After we finished I really wanted to pull the Beamer out and try it in the snow, but to bring it out and drop it. Maybe next winter. t being that it is brand new I was too chickenshit

I am going to call this a post. I know it is just all useless information but I am trying to get to the good stuff, please stick around a little longer.
